 His acting was commended when he portrayed the role of a masseur in the Indie film "MASAHISTA" which came out on 2005.

Aside from movie he is also a sought actor in television, mostly portraying dramatic roles. The latest award granted to him is Yahoo! OMG Awards for Best Actor of All time.

He is best known for his leading roles in School 2013 (2012), I Can Hear Your Voice (2013) and Doctor Stranger (2014). In 2013, Lee ranked respectively in fifth place according to a survey entitled 'Actors Who Lit Up 2013' by Gallup Korea, one of the most recognized awards in Korea for the entertainment industry.
